Scholarship Program

At Bursting With Promise, Inc., we believe in the power of education to transform lives and build brighter futures. Since our founding, we have been proud to award scholarships to deserving students who are committed to academic excellence, leadership, and community service. 

While we are not offering scholarships this school year, our commitment to supporting students has not changed. We continue to invest in programs and resources that prepare youth for success — from financial literacy and career readiness to mentorship and leadership development.

FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAM

At Bursting With Promise, Inc., we believe financial knowledge is the key to building brighter futures. Our Financial Literacy Program equips youth with knowledge and practical skills in budgeting, managing credit, saving, and investing—tools they can use right away at school, at home, and in their communities. 

What We Offer

  • Investment Mixer Symposiums (Youth Edition): Hands-on learning about the stock market and long-term investing habits.
  • “Know Your Wealth Workshops“: Interactive sessions on money basics – budgets, credit, savings, and investments.
  • School & Community Partnerships: Bringing financial education directly to classrooms, youth groups, and nonprofits.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE IN BOWIE, MD

Our 8th annual school supplies drive in Bowie, MD, will provide new backpacks and school supplies to students who want to start the school year ready to learn. Please consider helping our campaign to make a difference in children’s lives. For the past 8 years, we were able to provide school supplies to Kingsford Elementary School in Prince George’s County.

The top items needed but not limited to, are listed below. Please feel free to either make a donation to our school supplies drive or make arrangements to have the items picked up. As always, we appreciate your support. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR STUDENTS

Our programs wouldn’t be possible if not for the generosity of the people within our community. If you wish to help our hardworking students succeed, we are always looking for monetary donations to support our scholarship program. Additionally, money isn’t the only way you can help students in the area, with our school drives, you can provide us with backpacks, school supplies, and laptops for our nearby elementary and high school students. Donations will be accepted through our website or in person, and, as a 501(c)(3) organization, we are tax-deductible.
